Represent Medical Physicists in the Midwest Region

The MWCAAPM is one of the oldest regional organizations of medical physicists in the country, originating as the “Radiation and Medical Physics Society (RAMPS) of Chicago” in 1956, evolving into the Midwest Chapter of the AAPM in 1965.

Host Events

The MWCAAPM holds two meetings each year in the Chicago land area, one in the spring and one in the fall. The spring meeting features the MedPhysSlam and Young Investigator competitions.

Contribute to the training and professional growth of students and trainees

The midwest region features a high concentration of training programs, and the MWCAAPM strives to provide opportunities for early career physicists to network and present their original research.
